Users enter several packages and the data is not actually written to new records until they exit this screen. Temporary data cached in FileMaker 8 parameters for easy parsing into actual fields later, but is also written to a text global field for the user to view onscreen during data entry.
A single global text field is used to hold all the data entry for all the packages and the many different fields that describe each package. FileMaker 8's text formatting functions are used to make the global text field easily readable, highlighting row and column headers in a different color:
