This was the "Enter New Outcome Event" page. Simple events such as "scheduled interview" were selected from the "Event" dropdown menu and saved. The buttons at lower right were macro buttons that performed more complex outcome tasks, tasks that by their nature had to affect things other than the currently selected applicant and currently selected position.

This is with On-screen Help turned on. Clicking the "?" button dismisses the explanatory labels. Every screen in the solution has a "?" button, which makes it practical to utilize so many text-free buttons.
